si eu am patit ceva asemanator...
ca sa scap de prostia asta faceam disconect si reconect la db de fiecare data cand executam o procedura... cam 'taraneste' dar n.am gasit o solutie mai buna...
o solutie ar fi setarea unui wait_timeout mai mare... sau incercat activarea logurilor de erori pt mysql. asa recomandau pe dev.mysql....
eu cel putin n.am avut timp si rabdarea necesara pt asa ceva
daca cineva gaseste o solutie fac si eu cinste cu o bere :P

Vezi PhpMyAdmin/Show MySQL runtime information (adica http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/show-status.html dar in phpMyAdmin sunt si explicate si sunt si evidentiate cele cu probleme).
